JOB DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Resident is a nine-month position that allows for the application of didactical theory and principles in actual healthcare operations.  During this nine-month residency, the individual will act as part of the leadership team.   The Administrative Resident will follow a structured plan that takes into consideration his/her healthcare experience, educational background, and in conjunction with the needs of the organization.  This opportunity will allow exposure to numerous departments within the McLeod Health system. Responsibilities include active participation in assigned improvement work; completion of projects as directed by preceptor; and progress reports to senior leadership on a routine cadence.  They will assist with management of internal and external assessments to aid in determination of the opportunities for improvement within the organization. They will help develop outcome monitoring to assess effectiveness of change and to monitor sustainability.   Participation in community and civic functions relating to McLeod Health may be requested. The Administrative Resident must practice all policies and procedures of the McLeod organization.

 

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related fields.
