JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions

1. Assists the physician with giving medical care to patients: taking vital signs, history, documents chief complaint and all relevant information in the patients chart
2. Schedules testing and referral appointments for patients per physicians instruction.
3. Preps charts for upcoming appointments
4. Pull information from hospital patients and enter it into the EMR prior to the patients visit.
5. Obtain prior authorizations for any procedures scheduled
6. Responds to telephone calls and patient messages in a timely manner
7. Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor

Qualifications /Training

• one year experience in a physicians office clinical setting

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school required
• CMA/RMA National certification

Work Schedule

• PRN  (coverage as needed)
