JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
2. The Coding Specialist is responsible for coding claims for professional fees for practice based physicians or other entities.  Will involve close working relations with physicians and office staff.  Develop and maintain charge master and provide expert coding guidelines.  Reviews professional documentation for accurate CPT and ICD-10 coding and compliance with government regulations.  Assist in formulating recommendations based upon the finding and communicates them to the appropriate personnel.  Keeps staff informed of all regulatory changes and updates.

Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly as scheduled  

Qualifications /Training:

Two years’ experience in coding/insurance process preferred. Multi-specialty experience

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school required

Certified Procedural Coder certification required.
