JOB DESCRIPTION

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Assists AVP of Quality and Safety and departmental staff through the performance of secretarial duties and assigned projects. Maintains a thorough knowledge of complex office procedures and functions to assist other clerical staff members. Performs a broad range of specialized activities aimed at effective and efficient functioning of the divisional unit, including research and data collection, schedule management, maintenance of protocol, and information flow. Maintains confidentiality. Performs a variety of specialized activities related to operations and support services in the area of, but not limited to, travel and logistics, timekeeper, and Procurement requests. Maintains sound knowledge of McLeod Health policies and procedures. Performs secretarial, receptionist and clerical functions. Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to produce acceptable copy of typed correspondence, reports or presentations. Uses office technology to complete assigned tasks: multifunctional copier/scanner/fax. Establishes and maintains logically organized filing and record keeping system that can be used by other department member with little difficulty Purges files of outdated or unnecessary information in accordance with department policy or record retention. Prepares accurate and timely reports, financial reports, and correspondence. Assembles and prepares accurate and timely materials for publications and presentations. Provides effective HR support and assures maintenance of personnel files in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

Schedule: Full Time; 80 hours biweekly; Mon-Fri.

Qualifications /Training:

  • 3-5 years of secretarial/business experience required including experience in preparing reports, minute taking and document composition.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Experienced with various technological platforms such as Microsoft, email system, electronic time keeping systems. 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

  • Minimum of a High School diploma/equivalent from an accredited school required.
