Director of Employee/Occupational Health

The Director of Operations for Employee/Occupational Health is responsible for daily operations of corporate-wide employee health & safety and the Employee and Occupational Health Centers (Florence, Loris/Seacoast, Dillon & Cheraw). Duties include planning and directing programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment including clinic management, patient flow, staff education and training. The Director of Employee Health & Safety is the hospital’s representative in all employee related health and safety activities initiatives. Assists with management of general administrative, personnel and operational support for all Employee and Occupational Health programs and services. Leads, directs and supervises the work of others.

The Director must be flexible and possess the skills to problem solve, handle multiple responsibilities and job assignments, and to communicate to a wide range of individuals. This position requires superior writing, spelling and grammar skills. Possess the ability think independently with little supervision. This position also requires the employee to present a professional image at all times.

The director role encompasses the following disciplines: Occupational Health, Employee Health, Workers Compensation & Employee Safety for McLeod Health.

This position requires management and supervisory responsibilities. Must be able and willing to travel to and work at all McLeod facilities.

Education Requirements: Associates degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Human Resources or a Healthcare related field. Masters Degree preferred. Must have clinical background; RN, Rad Tech, NP.

3-5 Years experience in Healthcare, Marketing, Business, Human Resources, or Industry Management required.
