JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for configuration and maintenance of network personal computers, Multifunction Copiers, and various clinical and non-clinical peripheral devices. Assists MPA Information Systems in the installation, support and maintenance of desktop computer and network applications. Answer calls from customers and take corrective action or escalate as needed.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to the IT Manager. The Desktop Support Specialist does not supervise other employees.

 

MINIMAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Three years experience in the support of networked personal computers is required. Experience in Windows 10 and higher and Microsoft Office Software required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds. Will involve some stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, with frequent standing and walking. Requires manual dexterity with ability to perceive size, shape, temperature or texture; auditory and visual accuracy required with attention to verbal abilities and color discrimination.
