Licensed Practical Nurse – Med/Surg – PRN (Cheraw)

Delegates selected tasks while retaining accountability for outcome. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs patient care activities that are delegated and supervised by the Registered Nurse to an assigned patient group. He/she may perform direct patient care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient with a wide variety of medical/surgical conditions. The Licensed Practical Nurses may supervise Nursing Assistants or Technicians assigned to patients under her/his care. The Licensed Practical Nurse contributes to the nursing process through data collection, completion of nursing interventions, and input into the plan of care. He/she may perform direct patient care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient with a wide variety of medical/surgical conditions. Complies with dress code, hospital policy, policy related to absence and tardiness. Communicates mission, vision, values of hospital in daily activities.
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program that meets the educational requirements for P.N. licensure.
- Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse license to practice in South Carolina.
