The Nurse Extern III/Graduate Extern works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse mentor. The Nurse Extern III assists in meeting the patient's basic needs and overall unit environmental safety. He/she assists nurses in obtaining data for assessment, assists the nurse to provide care, and supports the department by performing tasks associated with general unit organization. The Nurse Extern III does not supervise other workers.
Education Requirements: Must have High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited academic nursing program. Positions available at McLeod Seacoast hospitals.
Must be in final semester of the Nursing Program.
