JOB DESCRIPTION

Certified Medical Assistant

Responsible for taking vital signs, history, asks patient for chief complaint, documents all relevant information and treatment in the patient’s chart; schedules testing and referral appointments for patients, per physician’s instruction; telephones pharmacies with prescriptions requested by the physician; maintains medical supply inventory; orders all medical supplies and provides support to front office personnel; performs other duties necessary in providing high quality patient care; greets patients and visitors and handles incoming telephone calls in a friendly and courteous manner; responsible for timely and accurate patient registration and check-in; schedules appointments and re-appointments; key in demographic information into the computer; performs a variety of clerical support functions as required.

Work Schedule 80 hours biweekly as scheduled

Training Required High school diploma or GED equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification required

Experience Required Experience in a physician’s office or other clinical setting is preferred.

 

Physician Office LPN

Job Description The Physician Office LPN assists the physician in assessing the needs of patients based on data collected through history, observation, physical exam, telephone triage and analysis of diagnostic data; takes vital signs, history and asks patient for chief complaints; documents all relevant information and treatment on the patient’s chart; prepares medication and gives the injections as ordered by the physician; assists the physician with treatments and procedures; performs other duties necessary in providing high quality patient care; possesses skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those relating to nursing.

Qualifications /Training:

  • Prefer one year experience in a physician’s office or other clinical setting.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

  • Graduate of accredited licensed practical nursing program.
  • Licensed LPN in the State of South Carolina.
