Physician Office Nurse Rounder
Job DescriptionThe Physician Office Nurse Rounder assists the physician in assessing the needs of patients based on data collected through history, observation, physical exam, telephone triage and analysis of diagnostic data; reviews all charts prior to patients’ office visit; performs direct patient care, i.e. triage, assessment, procedures, treatments, patient education, discharge and follow-up instructions; prepares patient to be seen by physician in physician office; schedules surgeries; assists with hospital rounds; assists with dictating Discharge Summaries, H & P, Consults and OP Reports; performs other duties necessary in providing high quality patient care; serves as an integral part of the overall clinical team for physician office; possesses skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those relating to nursing.
Work ScheduleFull Time: 7 days on & 7 days off
Skills RequiredHigh school diploma or GED equivalent and a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Must meet all the applicable state requirements governing the qualifications for a Registered or Practical Nurse licensed in the state of South Carolina. Must have and maintain ACLS and BLS certifications.
Experience Required1 to 2 years of related work experience. Experience with Oncology and Hematology patients and EMR helpful. Oncology Nurse Certification preferred, but not required.
