JOB DESCRIPTION

- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values
- Review received physician orders for compliance and accuracy components.
- Index orders in Order Facilitator
- Obtain corrected orders from physician’s or their offices.
- Follow up and insure the return of requested physician orders.
- Perform medical order function including: electronic filing, computer input, printing and processing.
- Communicate with Scheduling Supervisor to reschedule patients when doctor order is not obtained.
Qualifications/Training:
- Minimum of two years healthcare, medical records or medical office experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology or medical coding.
- Proficient word processing, keyboarding and data entry knowledge
- Experience navigating clinical information systems.
- Able to relate positively, favorably and cooperatively with others, including physicians, associates, guests, visitors, and persons of outside agencies and organizations.
- Must have the ability to hold in confidence any information regarding guests, personnel or any other matters which are confidential in nature.
- Must demonstrate outstanding verbal communication, excellent judgement, customer-focus, problem solving skills and proactive manner.
- Must be capable of working under pressure in a busy setting, projecting a friendly and professional image.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school
