Pharmacy Technician First Shift – IV Room – McLeod Pharmacy
The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician performs technical (non-professional) duties involved in the operation of the outpatient drug distribution system. All work performed by the Outpatient Pharmacy Technician shall only be done under direct supervision of a pharmacist. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician position requires skill and training, but does not perform duties requiring the professional judgment of a pharmacist. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician must have the communication skills necessary to function in an environment which services the public. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Work Schedule Full time; 80 hours biweekly with weekends included. This position is for first shift. The hours for coming in on first will range between 6:00am – 11:30am and you will work an eight hour shift. Department Description Employee Pharmacy: Provides prescription and over the counter medication for outpatients and employees. Experience Required At least 6 months experience as a Pharmacy Technician (or similar job experience preferred), and have exhibited a high degree of reliability, dependability, above average flexibility in job adaptability and competency in previous work performance. The Pharmacy Technician must pass a competency test (>75%) within their 6 month probationary period.
