McLeod Cardiology Associates is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their growing team! ***preferred structural heart, heart failure, and EP interest***

Work Schedule/Hours: 

Monday-Friday with some weekend nights. Call is required.

Qualifications/Training/Certification:

• State of South Carolina Certification as Physician Assistant.

Job Description:

1. Job responsibilities include those listed in competencies document.
2. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. 
3. Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician:
   1. Displays correct techniques in examinations.
   2. Obtains organized, appropriately thorough physical examinations.
   3. Examines in a safe manner, appropriate to the patient’s age.
   4. Documents all pertinent information accurately, legibly and in a timely manner. 
4. Records physical findings, and formulate plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition:
   1. Establishes appropriate rapport with patient.
   2. Obtains thorough history of the presenting problem.
   3. Obtains appropriate history of past illnesses, family history, review of systems, and psychosocial history.
5. Discusses care with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan:
   1. Coordinates care with family in an accessible, acceptable and affordable.
   2. Collaborates with other health professionals as appropriate.
   3. Refers to physicians as appropriate for complex medical management, consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
6. Demonstrates responsible dependable behavior.
   1. Prepares adequately for clinical experience.
   2. Cooperates with preceptor and staff.
7. Rounding in hospital with Physician.
8. Satellite Clinic as deemed appropriate.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift 25lbs and carry up to 25lbs occasionally.
2. Ability to stand while working for an extended period of time.
