JOB DESCRIPTION

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Participates in the clinical analysis of records, in a concurrent and retrospective manner, to ascertain quality of care for a specific patient population.. Reports and submits validated, timely data as required. Participates in improvement initiatives as assigned. Utilizes skills to investigate processes of patient care and treatment modalities to determine compliance with evidence based guidelines. Records, monitors, and reports both retrospective, concurrent, and post discharge data. Maintain expertise with current regulatory requirements. Serves as a liaison between the Hospital and other entities. Works collaboratively with others to develop strategies to successfully anticipate and meet outcome-based quality initiatives internally and externally. Analyzes clinical data for the purpose of developing it into useable, understandable, information to improve patient care and delivery, identify opportunities for improvement. Able to manage database applications. Provides consultation regarding data analysis and interpretation to physicians, leadership, and others. Works collaboratively to provide consistent, meaningful information to all levels of the organization, up to and including the Community Board. Uses problem analysis skills and critical thinking to collect and analyze data, develop and write reports, letters, and materials needed to achieve desirable results as requested Qualifications /Training: Minimum of three years supporting information systems or coding. Healthcare information systems experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft EXCEL. Microsoft ACCESS beneficial. Excellent written and verbal skills are required. Must also possess excellent customer service skills.

Associates degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Business, or related field.
