JOB DESCRIPTION
The Imaging Specialist will be responsible for, at a minimum, performing asset management, repair, and preventative maintenance duties on a variety of clinical devices, primarily radiographic in nature. The Specialist will also serve as a liaison to any outside service organization servicing radiographic devices for McLeod Health. These devices may be located at any facility serviced by the Biomedical Services Department, includingWilsonMedicalCenterand the Physician Offices. The Specialist must be able to perform asset management, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks on at least basic radiographic equipment initially, gradually progressing to more complex systems over a reasonable time period. Technician must apply excellent customer service skills at all times, and be an outstanding team player. Specialist will be responsible for taking call on a rotating basis, as needed.
Work Schedule
80 hours biweekly as scheduled
Skills Required
Specialist shall possess, at a minimum, an Associates Degree in Biomed, or have completed equivalent military Biomedical training. AAMI certification a plus. Alternatively, a Specialist will possess and Bachelors Degree in a related field and have a minimum of 5 years servicing radiographic equipment.
Experience Required
A minimum of two years experience with radiographic devices is required. Specialists must be willing and able to learn new and varied devices. Experience operating and repairing computers and computer networks a big plus.
