The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician performs technical (non-professional) duties involved in the operation of the outpatient drug distribution system. All work performed by the Outpatient Pharmacy Technician shall only be done under direct supervision of a pharmacist. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician position requires skill and training, but does not perform duties requiring the professional judgment of a pharmacist. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician must have the communication skills necessary to function in an environment which services the public. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Work ScheduleFull time; 80 hours biweekly including weekends. Hours of operation are 7:00am to 8:00pm Monday-Friday and 9:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays.Department DescriptionEmployee Pharmacy: Provides prescription and over the counter medication for outpatients and employees. Experience RequiredAt least 6 months experience as a Pharmacy Technician (or similar job experience preferred), and have exhibited a high degree of reliability, dependability, above average flexibility in job adaptability and competency in previous work performance. The Pharmacy Technician must pass a competency test (>75%) within their 6 month probationary period.
