JOB DESCRIPTION

                                                                                    

  1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.  
  2. Maintains building components such as, but not limited to: televisions, beds, fire alarms, overhead paging, Nurse call, pneumatic tube system, automatic door openers and electronic card entry systems. 
  3. Must be able to work independently and be capable of managing contractors, vendors and projects. 
  4. Perform  a wide variety of skilled task including installation, repairs, troubleshooting, and planning, of  televisions, beds, fire alarms, overhead paging, Nurse call, pneumatic tube system, automatic door openers and electronic card entry systems 
  5. Assists the other department personnel in maintaining electronic components.  
  6. Perform Preventive Maintenance Measures. 
  7. Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies. 
  8. Log daily reading of equipment and systems as assigned. 
  9. Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority. 
  10. Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority and document the “as found” condition, troubleshooting/repair details, list any testing equipment (w/calibration dates), test results data, photos, verbal/written documentation of communication with Requestor and final “as corrected” condition.      Document root causes for all equipment failures. Maintains detailed and accurate records of system repairs, temperature, humidity and air flow as required by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) and medical center policy.
  11. Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

  14. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.

  17. Must be a quick thinker and able to displays positive emotional behavior, as well as apply positive social skills with co-workers, vendors, customers, and patients.

Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly

 

*Completed or enrolled and Completed within 1 year 

 

Qualifications/Education/Training: Associate Degree/Apprenticeship Program* and minimum of 15 years of electrical/electronic maintenance experience. In lieu of an Associate Degree/Apprenticeship Program, 20 years of electrical/electronic maintenance experience will be accepted.  Must be able to demonstrate general personal computer data entry proficiency and basic control diagnostic procedures.

Licenses and/or Certifications**: Due to insurance regulations, must be at least 21 years of age with a valid SC driver’s license.  Certifications: 

  • Senior Certified Electronics Technician (CETma)***
