JOB DESCRIPTION

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. 

Acknowledge and/or greet guests and customers in a kind, professional manner and explain procedure. 

Identify patient according to lab procedures. 

Collect, prepare, store and/or transport specimens using correct techniques, anticoagulants. 

Collect, process and perform bedside testing according to protocol. 

Assist in maintaining supplies. 

Receive incoming phone calls, document incoming requests for blood to be drawn and follow through on request. 

Effectively use computer options relevant to job duties in section. 

 

Minimum of one (1) year work experience as a phlebotomist.  Phlebotomy certification required.
