Position Summary
- Provides day-to-day leadership on all Human Resources Operations matters and executes HR strategies by establishing departmental accountabilities including but not limited to: recruitment, staffing and workforce development, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations and employee retention, organization learning, HRIS and records management. Duties may also include oversight for employee and occupational health in the respective markets.
- Maintain a professional image at all times as a representative of the McLeod Leadership team both internally and in the community.
- Partner with CHRO to establish and implement comprehensive short-and long-term HR plans, strategies, and policies that effectively support and drive McLeod Health’s mission, vision, values and goals.
- Translate strategic business goals into human resource strategies and tactics to reinforce an exceptional employee experience.
- Lead strategies for the recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain the best talent.
- Lead Compensation and Benefits strategy to ensure a competitive, structured compensation and benefits plan that attracts, motivates, and retains talented staff based on an assessment of current market conditions.
- Partner with CHRO and department directors to develop an annual HR budget and manage the administration of budgeted funds within approved guidelines.
- Ensure that all HR policies and procedures are updated and compliant with applicable Local, State and Federal laws.

Job Requirements
Qualifications/Training:
- Minimum of five years Healthcare (Acute Care Hospital) leadership experience preferably in Human Resources but will consider other acute care hospital leadership experience in areas other areas with combined HR experience, ie., Nursing, Business, and other Operations
- 10 to 15 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Federal and State Employment laws, regulations, and other rules relative to employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; comfortable using email
- Travel across service areas is required
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school; Masters preferred.
