Maxwell Biggs, Training Specialist

My Why:

“To help individuals discover, grow, and develop their interpersonal skills to reach their potential.”

My Story:

Maxwell Biggs retired after a 22-year Naval career with the title Master Training Specialist. He then earned an Associates of Arts from Florence Darlington Technical College, graduating magna cum laude; a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education Training and Development from Southern Illinois University Carbondale; and a Master of Science in Training Performance and Improvement from Capella University. Maxwell has spent the last 34 years honing his training skills. He joined McLeod as part of the Organizational Learning Team in November of 2015 where he currently conducts training on interpersonal skills. Maxwell is certified in multiple Crucial Learning courses, The 5 Languages of Appreciation, and most recently became a “John Maxwell Certified Team Member”. 


Rhonda Cusaac, Learning Management System Coordinator 

My Why

“To meet the educational needs of healthcare professionals while upholding best practices and exceeding industry standards.” 

My Story

Rhonda Cusaac brings over 25 years of learning development, project management and customer service experience to McLeod Health. Her career began at Blue Cross Blue Shield managing insurance claims before joining the Learning and Development team as a Trainer. Over the years, she has taught hundreds of students for Blue Cross, Assurant Solutions, ADP, and McLeod. Her passion for project management and technical support is a perfect fit in her current role as the Learning Management System Coordinator. Rhonda is certified as a Facilitator of DDI Systems through Development Dimensions International, a CompTIA Technical Trainer through NetCom Information Technology and an Emotional Intelligence Certified Trainer through TalentSmart. 


Mahogany Giles, Training Specialist 

My Why

“To inspire others to embrace a growth mindset. Knowledge is a powerful tool that removes boundaries and paves the way to incredible opportunities.” 

My Story

Before joining McLeod Health, Mahogany spent a decade working in higher education managing programs to support underserved students by building partnerships with local businesses to create student employment pathways. Her training experience began as a Safe Zone instructor to promote connection, inclusivity, and appreciation for faculty, staff, and students. Mahogany transitioned into a College Skills instructor to aid students in getting acclimated to the higher education environment.  

Mahogany received her bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University and her master’s degree in student Success and Leadership from Walden University. She is a certified trainer in Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability, Getting Things Done, and 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace. Mahogany also holds a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certificate from the University of South Florida.
