Janet Belew
Academia Nursing Student Coordinator

Janet Belew, a native of Coward, SC, and a graduate of Lake City High School, has been a dedicated member of the McLeod Health team for 24 years. During that time, she has embraced numerous opportunities for growth, advancing into management and leadership roles. For the past 9 years, Janet has supported the next generation of nursing professionals as the Workforce Development Academic Nursing Student Coordinator. Janet holds certifications in EKG, BLS and Stop the Bleed. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant and continues to serve patients as a PRN Medical Surgical Technician in the Emergency Department at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Her commitment to excellence has earned her the prestigious McLeod Health Merit Award. Janet also recently completed the Emerging Leadership Program through the Florence Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she contributes her expertise as a member of multiple Academic Education Advisory Boards. Janet’s hobbies include fishing, cooking, spending time with her family and running the Florence Horse Center Boarding Facility with her husband.
Joshua Craig, BSN, RN

Joshua Craig is a native of Sumter, SC, and a graduate of Crestwood High School. He has worked in public service for the majority of his adult life. As a Registered Nurse, Joshua specialized in critical and emergency care. Prior to joining Poynor School of Healthcare Innovation, he worked in Interventional Radiology with McLeod Health. Joshua is a graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College and the University of South Carolina. He enjoys spending time with his family, taking trips to new places, and movie marathons.
Amber Christy, MAT, BS

Amber Christy is a native of Goose Creek, SC, and a graduate of Goose Creek High School. Amber holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Arts in Teaching from Francis Marion University. With more than 10 years of experience in education and coaching, she embraces supporting initiatives that improve the community. Amber offers a distinct background having served in roles including Compliance Monitor Administrator at Florence One Schools, Clinical Practicum Advisor at Francis Marion University, and English Immersion Instructor in Shijiazhuang, China. This experience has equipped her with leadership and adaptability to help McLeod Health remain responsive to an evolving workforce. Areas of interest include volunteering, sewing and fitness.
Charity Gerald – RN, BSN, MBA-HM
Associate Vice President, Talent Strategy

Charity Gerald is a Florence, SC, native and graduate of South Florence High School. She is a Registered Nurse with 25 years of healthcare experience and a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. Charity has worked with McLeod Health for 17 years. Prior to becoming a member of the McLeod Health Human Resources team, she worked as a Director of Nursing in the ICU, Progressive Care, and Medical units. She is a Palmetto Gold Award recipient and has also earned the prestigious McLeod Health Merit Award. Charity is currently the Vice President of the South Carolina Healthcare Human Resources Association and a member of several community and state boards including South Carolina Hospital Association’s Imagine WHY, Partnership Grand Strand, and the Pee Dee Workforce Development boards. Charity has a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration. Charity’s hobbies include spending time with her family, drawing, painting, singing and traveling.
Monique Grant, LPN

Raised in the big town of Society Hill, SC, Monique Grant is native of Darlington, SC, and a graduate of Darlington High School. Monique is a License Practical Nurse with more than 10 years of healthcare experience. She received her Diploma in Practical Nursing, and her Associate Degree in Nursing at Northeastern Technical College in Cheraw, SC. Prior to joining McLeod and the Workforce Development Team, Monique has worked in many different fields of nursing and taught CNA courses at Florence-Darlington Technical College. Her hobbies are singing, crafting, cruising, and spending quality time with the ones she loves.
Jennifer Hedinger, M.Ed.
Academic and Student Coordinator

Jennifer Hedinger is from Ocean Isle Beach, NC, with more than 20 years of experience in Workforce Development. She is new to the McLeod family, relocating from Cleveland, Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Radford University in Virginia and a Master of Education in Adult Learning and Development from Cleveland State University. Her experience includes teaching, career coaching, workforce program management, and resource development. Partnerships Jennifer has coordinated in previous positions include the Cleveland Clinic, Cuyahoga County Board of Health, and MetroHealth Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. She has also been a collaborative partner in Bridges Out of Poverty initiatives with Case Western Reserve University’s Center for Community Health Integration, addressing social determinants of health. Jennifer enjoys time with her family, reading, and traveling.
Ingrid Cherry
HR Manager Workforce Development

Ingrid Cherry is a native of Mount Pleasant, SC, and a graduate of Wando High School. She is a Human Resource professional with 13 years of combined experience in Talent Acquisition and Workforce Development. A 2011 graduate of Francis Marion University, Ingrid earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Human Resource Development with a Concentration in Workforce Development from Louisiana State University. Ingrid currently holds her SHRM-CP certification through the Society of Human Resource Management and her Certified Workforce Development Professional Certification through the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals. Ingrid is also a 2022 McLeod Merit Award recipient. Hobbies include hosting events, running a small business with her husband and spending time with her family.
Dr. Anna D’Addario
Health Careers Program Coordinator

Dr. Anna D’Addario is a Navy veteran and has retired as a career Podiatrist from the Veterans Health Administration. She has experience teaching at both high school and collegiate levels. Anna came to Myrtle Beach to retire but has since found her dream job here at McLeod Health, which combines both her passions for medicine and teaching. Anna keeps busy with yoga and traveling with family.
Deon Evans, Ph.D

Deon Evans, Ph.D, is a native of Lynchburg, SC, and a graduate of Timmonsville High School. After earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Francis Marion University in 2013, he served 10 years in the U.S. Army as a Human Resources Officer, medically retiring at the rank of Captain. He has since served as a Career Center Director at Francis Marion University and a Management and Program Analyst at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Deon obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Human Resources Management in 2023. His hobbies include spending time with family, traveling, serving the church and community, and mentoring the youth.
Deidre Giles

Deidre Giles is a native of Florence, SC, and a graduate of Wilson High School. She is a Certified Professional Coder with more than 20 years of healthcare experience. Diedre received a certification in Medical Coding and an Associate’s Degree in Human Services at Florence-Darlington Technical College. Prior to joining the McLeod Workforce Development team, Deidre worked as a Certified Professional Coder in Radiology along with various administrative roles. She also taught Medical Coding courses at the Professional Medical Training Center located in Florence, SC. Deidre enjoys writing and is the Author of two published books. She also enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and serving the church.
Cara Digiuseppe

Cara Digiuseppe is a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in communications. Born in Charleston, SC, and raised in New Jersey, Cara brings a unique blend of Southern charm and Northeastern energy to everything she does. Cara is passionate about building strong community ties and fostering meaningful connections. With a heart for service and a love for animals, Cara is deeply involved in community outreach initiatives. Whether she’s volunteering, networking, or cheering on her beloved Gamecocks during football season, she thrives on bringing people together and making a positive impact.
Christian Singletary
Workforce Development Specialist

Christian Singletary is a Florence, SC native and has been a member of the McLeod family since 2022. His career with McLeod started in the Consolidated Service Center department where he worked as both a picker and a receiver before joining the Workforce Development team. Christian looks forward to broadening his scope and growing not only professionally, but also personally with his new position. Christian graduated from Francis Marion University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in African American Studies. His hobbies include spending time with family, listening to music, and creating memories with his girlfriend, Jazmine, and their dog, Luna.

Mindy Teer is a native of Fort Mill, SC, with more than 15 years of experience in office management, including eight years as a CPA firm administrator. In her role, Mindy is committed to fostering strong partnerships and ensuring effective communication between students, faculty, and administrative teams. She is dedicated to supporting students as they complete clinical requirements and transition into successful healthcare careers. Mindy strives to enhance the overall student experience and strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and McLeod Health. Her professional approach is rooted in integrity, strategic thinking, and a focus on continuous improvement. Mindy is proud to contribute to both the academic and healthcare communities as part of the McLeod Health family. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Mindy enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering with animal rescue organizations, and relaxing at the beach.
Jamaison Self, MBA, CPht

Jamaison Self is a native of Florence, SC, and a graduate of Wilson High School. He is a Certified Pharmacy Technician with experience in community health center pharmacy, 340B pharmacy, mail order pharmacy, healthcare simulation and hospital pharmacy and pharmacy finance. Jamaison is a graduate of Francis Marion University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and a graduate of Lander University where he earned his master’s degree in business administration with concentrations in Business Analytics and Healthcare Leadership. With a passion for music and football you can find Jamaison cheering on his favorite high school and college football teams and marching bands. He also is dedicated to his family and serving his church.
Marla Black

A dedicated Healthcare Educator and Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with over a decade of hands-on clinical experience, Marla Black brings a deep commitment to excellence, patient care, and medical training. A native of Cheraw, SC, Marla leverages her extensive clinical background to instruct and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Throughout her ten-year career in clinical medical assisting, she has developed strong expertise in patient care workflows, clinical compliance, and medical office administration. Known for maintaining rigorous clinical standards and promoting professional discipline, she combines real-world healthcare insight with an engaging, structured approach to education. Marla is passionate about fostering clinical precision, professional ethics, and high standards of patient care in every student she trains, helping empower healthcare professionals to serve their communities with competence and compassion.
Ashley Richardson, RT(R)

Ashley is a Florence, SC native with over 18 years of healthcare experience. A West Florence High graduate, she earned her associate’s degree in radiologic technology from Florence-Darlington Technical College. Beyond delivering clinical excellence in diagnostic imaging, Ashley shapes the future of healthcare by mentoring students as a program preceptor. Off duty, she loves traveling and spending time with her family.
