Beverly Mitchell
Healthcare Recruiter

Beverly is a native of Dillon, SC, and a graduate of Latta High School. She has been a dedicated employee of McLeod Health since 1990. She began her career as a part-time secretary in the Discharge Department at the former Saint Eugene Community Hospital. Beverly later advanced to the role of Administrative Assistant to the Hospital Vice President, where her responsibilities expanded into the areas of human resources and recruitment in 1996. Currently, Beverly serves as a bedside nurse recruiter and brings extensive institutional knowledge and a strong understanding of clinical nursing roles and healthcare workforce needs. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Abby Gore
Healthcare Recruiter

Abby Gore resides in southeastern North Carolina and is a graduate of UNC-Pembroke with a bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting. Abby, a SHRM Certified HR professional, has been a member of the McLeod Health Talent Acquisition team for 24 years and has earned the prestigious McLeod Health Merit Award. She has dedicated her professional career to healthcare, specifically recruiting valued staff members for the McLeod Health organization. Abby enjoys afternoon walks, traveling, reading, watching movies and spending time with her family.
Deanna Sheppard
Talent Sourcer

Deanna Sheppard is a South Carolina native who has lived in 10 different states with broad talent acquisition experience across healthcare, IT, engineering and pharmaceuticals. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida A&M University and a SPHR certification from HR Certification Institute. Deanna has recruited for several organizations including IBM, Meta and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Crystal Campbell
Healthcare Recruiter

Crystal is a native of Darlington, SC, and a graduate of Mayo High School for Math, Science and Technology. Prior to becoming a Healthcare Recruiter, Crystal started her career with McLeod as a Certified Nursing Assistant both at the bedside in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit as well as in Home Health. She has also worked various positions within Human Resources. Crystal’s hobbies are spending time with her daughter, volunteering and playing music.
Tonyie Brockington

Tonyie Brockington is a driven recruiter with one year of recruiting experience and five years as a Talent Acquisition Specialist in McLeod Talent Acquisition. Tonyie’s desire is to work in a department where dreams begin. Tonyie is also a certified fitness instructor and enjoys exercising.
Deidra B. Josey
Healthcare Recruiter

Deidra Josey is a native of Florence, SC, and graduated from Francis Marion University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and Master of Public Administration from Bowie State University. Deidra, a SHRM certified professional, has been a member of the McLeod Health Human Resources department for more than 20 years. Deidra brings a wealth of knowledge from recruiting nursing and allied health professionals. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Patricia Heady
Healthcare Recruiter

Pattie Heady began her nursing career more than 50 years ago in Labor and Delivery until her retirement in 2022. Pattie and her late husband retired to Ocean Isle Beach in 2019, but she did not stay out of nursing long. She worked a few years in public health before joining the fantastic team at McLeod Health as a Nurse Recruiter. She is the proud mother of three grown children and 9 grandchildren and loves sharing her home with all.

Abby Hopper is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a degree in public health. She has spent her career working in human resources and project management, bringing a people-first mindset to her work. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new coffee shops and being happily chased around by her nieces and nephew.
Alan Gottula

Alan is a seasoned healthcare recruiting professional with more than 20 years of recruiting experience. Joining McLeod Health in 2016, he has recruited for both clinical and non-clinical roles and is dedicated to ensuring smooth operations and going the extra mile to connect with candidates. Prior to McLeod Health, Alan was a Recruiter and Local Veterans Employment Representative with the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, assisting a vast array of local organizations with finding exceptional employees as well as assisting veterans with obtaining employment. When he is not recruiting, he enjoys spending time with family, camping and wrenching on old cars.
Rivers Poston
Healthcare Recruiter

Rivers Poston is an alumnus of Francis Marion University, where he earned a Bachelor of Human Resource Management. He joined McLeod as a Workforce Development intern, and upon graduation was offered a full-time position as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. After gaining experience in this role, Rivers was promoted to Healthcare Recruiter. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and playing golf.
Eriche Brown
Talent Acquisition Recruiting Manager

Eriche Brown is a Human Resource Manager for recruiting efforts at McLeod Health. He has called Florence, SC, home for more than 30 years; however, he is a proud native of Summerville, SC. Eriche is thankful for his years in the Summerville school system and SC State College (now SCSU) for which he credits his education and stern upbringing. He credits his military father, Charles F. Brown Sr., his 35 years in Sales and human resources recruiting, and his own military background in the US Air Force for his leadership skills.
Whether he is hiring the right candidate or leading the best group of human resources recruiters and specialists, he cares. He is dedicated to creating a corporate culture that promotes and cultivates customer and patient loyalty by empowering and motivating employees to realize their full potential and bring their best to the job by assisting and loving our patients. One of Eriche’s favorite sayings is that a true leader, in order to lead others, must first know how to serve. That’s where the gratification is.
